Waking Up and Getting Ready

At the end of February I was helping my neighbor Blair dig some rocks out of a stairwell in his back yard when he started talking about his vision for his property and his vision of us as individuals in life.

From that day to this I have been shooting video weekly documenting  the unfolding of his garden, and the simultaneous unfolding of his emotions and spirit.  Stills are first and then video segments follow.

The video project represents our own wisdom that is just buried beneath the soil waiting to grow and flourish.  Blair discusses the book he has written, his journey with healing after the loss of his wife Sue, his knowledge of the healing arts drawn from his years as a Methodist minister, nurse, and protector of all living things large and small.

His prized possession is his garden, and we see it unfold through a season.  The preparation, the planting, the nurturing, and the harvesting.
